Seven cases were registered in Khilgaon, Shahjahanpur, Shah Ali and Kafrul police stations. Six cases were registered at Shyampur, Darussalam, Hatirjheel, Bhatara and Wari police stations. Five cases were registered in Mohammadpur, Shere Bangla Nagar, Kadamtali and Mugra police stations. Four each entered Dhanmondi and Sabujbagh.
Three cases were registered at Chowkbazar, Banani, Tejgaon, Badda, Hazaribagh, North East, Bhasantek, Rampura and Gendaria police stations. Two cases were registered at Lalbagh, Bangshal, North West, Khilket, Shahbag, Rupnagar and New Market police stations. One case each was registered in seven other police stations.
No new cases were registered against BNP men in Kamrangir Char, Gulshan, Uttarkhan, Adbor and Turag police stations.
Syed Nazrul Islam and Iltutmish Saudagar are among the lawyers who hear the cases of BNP leaders-activists. He told Prothom Alo that he provided legal assistance to about 200 BNP leader-activists who were arrested in connection with the cases registered in these three months.
He said that many of the bail pleas of his clients were rejected before the elections on January 7, but many got bail after the elections.
