Meanwhile, Baharjan died after being struck by lightning while bringing cattle from the farm amid rain, Roopkari Union president Jasmine Chakma said.
A goat also died during the thunderstorm.
On the other hand, a Tripura housewife died after being struck by lightning while working in her yard at Longthianpara in Sajek.
Baghaichhari upazila Nirbahi officer (UNO) Shireen Akhtar said two people – Baharjan and Tripura – died in the upazila and Tk 10,000 was provided to the family members of each deceased.
Seven people were also injured during lightning in different parts of the district.
In Cox's Bazar, two workers were killed after lightning struck them at separate places in Chhari Para of Pekua upazila in Cox's Bazar district early Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Didarul Islam, 35, son of Jamir and Mohammad Arman, 25, son of Jamal of the upazila.
