A Bangladeshi student obtained Highest mark in Cambridge exam

A Bangladeshi student obtained the highest marks in the world in Cambridge GCE O & A Level Examinations in 2009-10 sessions.

Aleef Al-Amin of Oxford International School (OIS) in Dhaka secured top position in the world among 160 countries in Human and Social Biology in O Level, a release said here today.

It also said 13 students of the same school have been adjudged as ‘best performing students’ in Bangladesh as they got highest numbers in 13 subjects in the 2009-10 examination sessions’ by Cambridge International Examinations(CIE).

The students of the school achieved 79 Outstanding Cambridge
Learner Awards for their outstanding performances in the recent
GCE O & A Level Examinations.

To recognize the brilliance of the achievements in these
international examinations, CIE organized the Outstanding
Cambridge Learner Awards Ceremony at the Radisson Water Garden
Hotel recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal of OIS G M Nizam Uddin
said this outstanding achievement is not only for the school it
is also the achievement for the whole nation.
