The chaotic situation over the result of ‘GA’ unit led the Dhaka University authorities to call for a fresh admission test to be held on 9 December of this year.
Earlier on 28 October, Dhaka University published the result of ‘GA’ unit by counting a number of “incorrect answers” as correct, the university authority had to re-examine the answer sheets and published a corrected result. This caused a chaotic result and criticism among a quarter of people.
In the meantime, those who were successful in the first-phase of the admission test staged demonstration on the campus protesting about the decision of holding a fresh admission test.
Many of the students and their guardians formed a human chain in front of Aparajeyo Bangla before noon. And they made a procession in this regard in the campus.
The admission procedures in other universities have also ended. Many of the students didn’t get admitted in other universities as they got the chance in Dhaka University. They fear of losing an academic year and that is the reason why they are protesting fresh test
