Afghanistan beat Uganda by 125 runs in T20 World Cup

Afghanistan defeated debutants Uganda by 125 runs in their first Group C match of the T20 World Cup in Guyana on Monday.

Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (76) and Ibrahim Zadran (70) laid the foundation for victory with a masterful 154-run partnership and Afghanistan finished their innings at 183-5.

Afghanistan bowler Fazalhaq Farooqui then bowled brilliantly to take five wickets for just nine runs as Uganda was all out for 58 at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown.
