Meanwhile, Arteta said discussions over Granit Xhaka’s future would wait until the end of the season.
Xhaka is entering the final year of his contract and has been linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Switzerland midfielder spent four years with Borussia Monchengladbach before moving to Arsenal in 2016.
