Bangladesh will face India in their final Super Four match of the Asia Cup on Friday.

Bangladesh, under Shakib Al Hasan, has managed only one win against Afghanistan in the group stage in this year’s Asia Cup.

Subsequently, they participated in two Super Four matches and lost both.

“Winning the last match will be important for us,” Bangladesh captain Shakib said on Thursday.

Bangladesh’s struggles have mainly stemmed from the poor performance of the batsmen throughout the event. In most of the matches the openers failed to establish a solid base, the middle-order did not live up to expectations, and the closing order could not put up any meaningful resistance.
