Assembly in protest of the new admission system into medical colleges could not be held in front of the Shahid Minar due to police intervention. Police arrested eight students but later released them.
However, a section of students has submitted a memorandum to the prime minister in this regard. They have shown several reasons in favour of an admission test
The agitated students will assemble in front of the press club today (Tuesday) at9 am.
Meanwhile, high court made a divided judgment about the admission test based on the petition made by advocate Eunus Ali Akond. It will now be transferred to another bench for a decision.
Earlier the government has taken a decision to conduct the admission procedure of medical colleges based on the number obtained at HSC and SSC. This caused a section of the students infuriated who are seeking for an admission test for MBBS and BDS admission.
