Captain Babar Azam scored a solid half-century to take Pakistan to 178-5 in the fifth and final Twenty20 International against New Zealand in Lahore on Saturday.

Azam scored 69 runs in 44 balls while Zaman scored 43 runs in 33 balls for Pakistan after being sent in to bat at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Azam saw his opening partner Sam Ayub dismissed for just one run in the second over, but it did not matter to him as he added 73 runs for the second wicket with Usman Khan, who scored a quickfire 31 off 24 balls. .
