Speakers said the government should reduce dependence on imports of electricity and primary energy. Otherwise the power and energy sector will not be able to get rid of the continuous losses.

AL MLA Tanveer Shakeel said that reaching the goal of 100 percent electrification of the country has been the biggest success of the Awami League government.

“People’s demand is to get electricity. They no longer want to wait for electricity and see the cost of production,” he said. from them.

He said that the main obstacle in promoting renewable energy is the shortage of land in the country.
