The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that the ongoing very severe to severe and mild to moderate heat wave is likely to continue in various parts of the country.
“Very severe heat wave is observed in Rajshahi, Chuadanga and Pabna districts and severe heat wave is observed in Tangail, Bogura, Bagerhat, Jashore and Kushtia districts. Mild to moderate heat wave is observed in rest parts of Dhaka, Rajshahi. And Khulna division and Rangpur, Mymensingh and Barishal divisions and Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban districts and this may continue,” a weather bulletin issued on Saturday morning said.
“Elsewhere in the country, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. Day temperatures may rise slightly over the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged,” it said.
