Bangladesh has started world cup journey with a high note and beat Giant killer Canada by 9 wickets. Bangladesh winning the toss put Canada into bat in the first world cup practice match. Canada started to loose their wickets in regular intervals and only managed to score 113 before they were all out in 37.3 overs. Shakib Al Hasan took 3 wickets by 5 runs. On the other hand, Shafiul,Rubel and Mahmudullah took two wickets each. Canadian skipper Ashish Bagai score 30 as highest scorer.

Chasing a small total of 114 runs Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes made a splendid opening stand of 106 runs from just 100 balls before Tamim was out on 69 runs of 50 balls. All supporters stayed in stadium, television and internet was really getting good fun to see Tamim’s tornado. He hits 3 big six and 7 fours in his innings. Bangladesh chased down the score in 19.2 overs.
