It seems, now the authority is talking stern action against irresponsible drivers after the tragic accident which killed about 40 school boys.
22 drivers were fined on charges of careless driving and talking over mobile phone while driving yesterday. Of the 22 drivers there were drivers of buses and trucks. They were fined under the motor vehicle ordinance, which fined 300 tk for mobile phone using and 200 tk for careless driving.
This dive took place by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police on the approach Bangabandhu Bridge in Tangail A total of 5,500 taka was fined. Let’s wait and see whether these types of action can change the situation.
