Awami League general secretary Obaidul Kader on Saturday said the BNP was making nefarious attempts to recreate a 1/11-like situation in the country to grab power in the state.
“Though BNP is preparing for the elections internally, they are not sure of winning the elections. So they are trying to grab power through covert means. They want to create 1/11 like situation again.
Kader, also the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, said this while replying to reporters at a joint meeting of the AL Secretariat with presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka City South and North AL and allied bodies of the party at the AL president’s Dhanmandi political office.
