The 36-hour nationwide blockade launched today, Tuesday, has been called by the BNP and marks the eleventh round of such blockade, which is scheduled to end tomorrow, Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
After a grand rally in Dhaka on 28 October, the BNP launched a dawn-to-dusk strike (bandh) across the country on 29 October. Since then, the party has organized events such as intermittent blockades and sometimes hartals lasting one or two days.
