BNP’s ‘Vote Rejection’ campaign: Impact on Bangladesh’s 12th parliamentary election

Concerned sources said the government has adopted several strategies to bring voters to the polling stations. The ruling party fielded its candidates on almost all seats and also allowed independent candidates to contest the elections. The parties boycotting the elections are considering starting this anti-election campaign against the government’s strategy.

The leaflets will call on people to reject voting in this one-sided and joint election of the ruling Awami League.

It is also learned that, BNP, Jamaat-e-Islam, Republic Forum and other alliances and parties will distribute different pamphlets.
