Bowlers dominate, Bangladesh gain control in Test match against New Zealand

Devon Conway and Kane Williamson were interacting well on a difficult pitch, but Taijul brought up a potentially game-winning moment in the last over of the 10th spinner. The left-arm spinner bowled a fast drifter ball which hit Williamson’s bat and fell towards the front. Williamson, who was on 11, took a futile review but the television umpire confirmed that the visitors’ score was 19–2.

With the dismissal of Williamson, the Kiwis’ best player against spin, the batting side got a bit nervous and when Henry Nicholls swept the delivery of Mirage, Shorifull made a stop to make it 30-3.

Bangladesh lost their remaining three wickets early in the session but Miraz remained unbeaten on 50 and helped his team score 338 runs.

Ajaz Patel was the leader among the bowlers taking four wickets.
