BPL spot fixing issue is again under spot light

Cricket was known as gentle man’s game. Now the situation is much different. Some years ago mach fixing scandal erupted fury among cricket lovers. Because it was found that some cricketers deliberately lost cricket matches in return for money.
Now match fixing is not a problem ICC (International Cricket Council) managed to overcome it, but spot fixing is a new threat for cricket. Bowlers deliberately balls a no ball or wide ball in a specific time in return for money.

Spot fixing issue was first raised in the current BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) by Dhaka Gladiators captain Mashrafe Mortaza. He told he was approached by one of his fellow cricketer, though he did not mention his name.

A Pakistani national, Sajid Khan was arrested by the security personnel at Mirpur national stadium yesterday for his suspicious activity. He was trying to reach the cricketers.
Police says he has admitted his involvement. He is a resident of Karachi. Police found some phone numbers and bank account numbers of some Pakistani cricketers in his mobile phone.
