Saifullah said: “Three are still missing. Seven of the dead died in Satkania, four in Lohagara, two in Chandanish, one each in Banshkhali, one in Rauzan and one in Chattogram city.”
Meanwhile, Chandanesh police station in-charge Anwar Hussain said that one person is missing in Chandanesh upazila.
In the flood-affected areas, there was power failure for three days in Satkania, Lohagara and Chandanesh sub-districts. Residents of these areas faced many challenges including lack of clean water.
However, since Wednesday night the water level in these areas started receding and power has been gradually restored at some places.
