Covid-19 safety guidelines are neglected in shooting houses: Orsha

Present covid-19 pandemic has brought an unprecedented challenge to the modern world. As this new coronavirus is highly contiguous and there is no effective treatment, isolation and lockdown have been the only preventive measure. After months of disruption, many shooting houses in Dhaka have started their activities. Initially, health safety guidelines have been followed strictly. Even testing for performers and crews were arranged.

But now many complaints are coming from health cautious artists. In most of the cases, Covid-19 guidelines are not followed properly. Many outsiders are gathering in shooting spots which are increasing the risk of spreading coronavirus. Prominent actress and model Nazia Haque Orsha has said, when safety procedures like hand sanitizing are not followed, artists face some sort of mental discomfort.

We are taking safety items to shooting spots. But many are not using face masks because it’s very difficult to use in hot weather. It is causing a psychological distraction for performers, says, Orsha. Orsha has curbed her shooting schedule, taking five to seven days of break after each shooting.
