Ekushe Boi Mela (Book Fair) 2010 started

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Ekushe Boi mela (Book fair) 2010 at Dhaka in 1^st of February, 2010. This fair is the major fair of publications industry in Bangladesh. Writers of Bangladesh wait for this very occasion to publish their books in this fair. This one month long fair is held every year in the yard of Bangla Academy of Dhaka University. The fair commemorate the memory of language fighters who fought for the Bengali language in 1952 and gave their valuable life. Especially people from all around remember the names of martyr Rofiq, Jabbar, Borkot and Shofiul.  Although Ekushey book fair starts as only a fair, it has become a part of the culture of Bangladesh. It acts as a festival in Dhaka. People from all walks visit this fair and have a look on the fair. Some people buy books. But a huge number of people go there just only for enjoying the festive environment of Ekushe Boimela. There is no entry fee to enter into the fair. So people can easily enter into the fair.
