The task force constituted to monitor the Amar Ekushi Book Fair has recommended closure of stalls of Rabeya Book House and Grontho Prakash for irregularities like selling pirated books.
The task force also recommended warning seven publishing houses for violating the policy laid down for publishers.
The seven publishers who have been warned include Ma Shera, Gyan Bitan, MoU Publications, Bongos Publications, Gazi Publications, Medha Publications and Deshoj.
Ashim Kumar Dey, chairman of the task force and managing director of the Bangladesh Shilpi Welfare Trust, said they sent the recommendations to the management committee of the fair after Tuesday’s inspection.
