Rapid Action Battalion the elite force of police has conducted a dive against fake doctors in the port city today. Civil surgeon officials and magistrates were with them.
The fake doctors were mainly doing their business in the poor areas of the port city Chittagong. At least eight fake doctors have been jailed for two years and fined for one lakh taka. They have to stay three more years if they fail to pay.
Certificates of more doctors are also being examined by the officials. Certificates of two specialist doctors at Nahar Diagnostic centre are reported to being examined. Squadron Leader Md. Nazim Uddin and Captain Rashed led different teams in the dive. It is known that fourteen fake doctors are identified.
Few years ago another fake specialist doctor was found at a reputed private hospital in Dhaka. The specialist doctor counterfeited the certificate of a real specialist working at a government hospital.
