Farooki’s latest film ‘Television’ selected for closing film in Busan

Busan Film Festival is Asia’s biggest international film festival. Farooki’s latest feature film ‘Television’ will be screened at the closing day of the ten day long festival, which is due to be held in South Korea on October next.

Farooki was a very popular TV director; he started a new style of TV dramas. Later he concentrated on film making. His first film ‘Bachelor’ became very popular and screened in various film festivals at home and abroad.

He will be the first Bangladeshi who’s film is screened in Busan film festival.

Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury and Tisha are the main actor and actress of the film. It’s a story of conflict between tradition and modern life. Here an influential village man stands against television though the villagers are interested on this. According to Farooki, actually it’s a story of human relation from different angle. He is expecting to release the film commercially on next November or December.
