Today again heavy firing was heard in the remote area of Naikhongchari on the Myanmar border. No firing was heard in the last two days, but the firing started again at around 2:45 pm on Saturday afternoon.
Local sources said the firing has disturbed Bangladeshi residents along the border area.
Several border sources said that fighting is going on in Myanmar between the rebel group Arakan Army and the Border Guard Police (BGP).
