Police have detained former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader Tashreek Zaman with masks, torches and a motorcycle on charges of “plotting sabotage”. Members of the Nator Sadar police station detained him from the city on Tuesday night in the presence of Nator-2 constituency MP Shafiqul Islam.

The detained Tashreek Zaman was the president of the BCL unit of Ward-7 of Nator Paurashava (Municipality), formed on April 23, 2022. However, according to sources, the committee was later disbanded.
