Four Bangladeshi civilians are killed by the Indian border guards in two days. Two were in Thakurgaon district on Tuseday and two were killed in Chapainawabganj district on Wednesday. According to the officials they were cattle traders.
BSF also abducted three Bangladeshis yesterday two from Jaipurhat border and one from Panchagarah. One of them is a rickshaw van puller who went to his paddy field near the border to collect paddy.
Perhaps BSF is trying to give a clear message, you Bangladeshis are weaker than us, don’t even come to your land if it is near Indian border.
Nine hundred and sixty seven border killings by BSF are recorded in last ten years. It is one of the bloodiest borders in the world where the Indians have taken ‘shoot on sight’ policy. Irony is, they never shoot Phensidyl smugglers. Phensidyl is a drug which is destroying the youth of Bangladesh.
BSF always say, they only shoot when they are attacked.
