Three day long Bangladesh Furniture and Interior Decor Expo 2014 is going to be started from Sunday the 23rd March. This fair will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center and end on 25th March.
Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh Furniture Exporters Association, Bangla Craft, Bangladesh Jute Diversified Products Manufacturers and Exporters Association and Bangladesh Furniture Industries Association are jointly organizing this fair.
Consumers will have the opportunity to see and compare products of different brands. Some Bangladeshi brands including HATIL, Otobi, Navana, are manufacturing world class furniture in Bangladesh and they are also exporting. Some brands have also opened showrooms in abroad. These brands have reduced dependency on imported foreign furniture.
Vice chairman of Export Promotion Bureau Shibhashis Basu, two directors Salahuddin Mahmud and Mahmudur Rahman, executive director of jute diversification centre Khandkar Mokhlesur Rahman, president of furniture exporters association A K M Akhtarujjaman, Bangla craft president S U Hayder, jute diversified products association president Shahedul Islam Helal and furniture industries owners association president Salim H Rahman informed this to media from a joint press conference recently.
