Both Grameenphone and Robi, the 2 large mobile phone operators offered attractive packages for mobile internet users.
Grameenphone offered Minipack Pay Per Use (Max Tk.20/Day) on user’s EDGE/GPRS enabled handset for Internet or WAP uses.
Some sets can get automated settings from GP, if require use pin code (1234). Minipack Pay Per Use (Max Tk.20/Day, from 12:00am to 11:59pm) package is only for prepaid users. However, fair uses policy will be applicable. After 10MB uses per day fair uses policy will be applicable. Charges, VAT and other conditions are also applicable. On the other hand Robi has recently started a minipack internet service with more improved network for its prepaid customers. Robi is offering 10 megabytes mini internet pack at a rate of Tk 10, said a news release.
Now customers can easily access the internet with Robi connection anytime at an affordable price. This is the lowest priced internet service in the market, the release said.
To avail the minipack internet service, the customers need to set up mobile internet or WAP
at user’s handset
by dialling *140*7# for the internet or WAP settings.
To activate the minipack internet service, the customers will have to dial *8444*80# and thus will be able to access the internet immediately.
