Hollywood actors union says no deal on studio’s ‘final’ offer

The union representing striking actors said Monday it cannot agree to the studio’s “last, best and final offer” issued over the weekend to end a months-long impasse that has rocked Hollywood. Paralyzed.

Negotiators with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) have been considering the proposal since Saturday, as studios seek to prevent a damaging disruption that has paralyzed TV and film production for four months.

In a statement to members posted on social media on Monday, the committee said they are committed to ending the 116-day strike “responsibly,” but have yet to meet with the body representing Disney, Netflix, Warner, Universal. A consensus has not been reached. Paramount and Sony.

“There are many essential items on which we still have no agreement, including (artificial intelligence),” the statement said.
