Noted actor Humayun Faridee died on this day in 2012. While celebrating his sixtieth birthday on 29th may in 2011, he said ‘life means heading to death gradually’. Coincidently he died before celebrating his next birthday.
People will always remember him for his outstanding performance on theatre, television and film. He received national film award in 2004. He could do almost any character in film and television. At first he married to a girl of Faridpur district, then he married to another prominent actress Subarna Mustafa but they were divorced in 2008.
Humayun Faridee was born in 1952, his father ATM Nurul Islam was an officer of jute board and his mother Begum Farida Islam was housewife. He admitted himself to Dhaka University to study organic chemistry in 1970. But he could not continue due turmoil of liberation war. Later he received his honours and masters degree in economics from Jahangirnagar University. He joined Dhaka Theatre while studying there and eventually became a prominent performer of theatre, television and silver screen. He also made some telefilms, single episode tv dramas and tv serials.
