Indian company investing on Bangladeshi EPZ

China has already made huge amount of investment on Bangladeshi garments sector. Now its time for another potential super power to come with investment. BRFL Bangladesh Private Limited, an Indian company, will set up a garment manufacturing industries in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone.

This 100 percent foreign owned company will invest 19.874 million US dollar in setting up their unit to produce garments related items, a handout said here today.

The company will also create employment opportunity for 8,884 Bangladeshi nationals.

An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and BRFL Bangladesh Private Limited in BEPZA Complex here today.

Md Moyjuddin Ahmed, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA
and Nazim Khan and president of garments division of BRFL
Bangladesh Private Limited signed the agreement on behalf of
their respective organizations.

Jnan Ranjan Sil, Member (Engineering), AZM Azizur Rahman,
General Manager (Investment Promotion), Md Khorshed Alam, General
Manager (Public Relations) and other officials of BEPZA were
present at the signing ceremony.
