With the help of Virat Kohli’s record-breaking 50th ODI century and Mohammed Shami’s seven wickets, India reached the Cricket World Cup final by defeating New Zealand by 70 runs on Wednesday.

Kohli scored 117 to break the ODI century record he shared with India great Sachin Tendulkar, and Shreyas Iyer made a quickfire 105 to take the total to 397-4.

Despite Daryl Mitchell’s 134, New Zealand were all out for 327, with fast bowler Shami taking a sensational career-best 7-57.

In Sunday’s final, India will face either Australia or South Africa, who will play their semi-finals on Thursday.
