Information minister emphasized on film

Film is something which can change the society with its immense persuasive power towards people. One good film can guide people to do some good work and one bad film can devastate society and societal value.  Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad today said film could play a very important role in nation building activities through imbuing people with patriotism.

“We should project our history, culture and heritage at international level by film,” he told the concluding function of the third Film Festival-2010 organized by channel-i at the Bangabandhu International Conference centre here, an official release said.

Information Secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamun, among others, addressed the function with Managing Director of Channel-i Faridur Reza Sagar in the chair,

Describing film as a powerful media in spreading thoughts and ideas among people, Azad urged concerned officials to produce healthy film by utilizing their talents and creativity for building a beautiful society.
