International mother language institute bill, 2010 passed

The parliament of Bangladesh passed the International Mother Language Institute bill, 2010 on Tuesday 5,October, and 2010.

The bill was submitted by education minister Nurul Islam Nahid. According to this law, after the law is being in effect the government will publish a gazette in this connection and establish International Mother Language Institute.

The main office will be in Dhaka. The prime minister of the country will be the head of the International Mother Language Institute.

The duty and power of the International Mother Language Institute would be to make publicity of Bengali (Bangladeshi) language at home and abroad, and they will conduct research Bengali (Bangladeshi) language and language movement.
