Israel rescues four Gaza hostages, Hamas reports 210 Palestinians killed

Israel said its forces rescued four hostages alive on Saturday from a Gaza refugee camp, where the Hamas-run state media office said 210 Palestinians were killed and hundreds wounded in attacks.

The Israeli military said all four were in “good health condition”. They were abducted from a Nova music festival during a Hamas attack on October 7 that sparked a war with Israel that is now in its ninth month.

Noa Arghamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrei Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, were rescued in a complex daytime operation from two separate buildings in the heart of the Nuseirat camp, the army said.

They were among 251 hostages seized by militants in an attack on southern Israel in October. There are now 116 hostages left in Gaza, 41 of whom the military says are dead.

Footage posted on social media showed an emotional Arghamani meeting her father after the rescue, as well as people on the beach in Tel Aviv cheering when a lifeguard announced the four had been freed.
