Khadija, who was in jail in two cases filed under the Digital Security Act (now abolished), came out of jail as a six-member bench of the Appellate Division led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan dismissed the petitions filed by the state challenging the done. His bail will be on Thursday.

“I did not have a good time inside the jail. I spent time in jail offering namaz, fasting and studying. My Honors second year exam will be held today. I will go straight to the university to appear for the exams,” Khadija said.

Court and lawyers sources said lower courts rejected Khadija’s bail plea twice. On February 16 this year, the High Court had granted permanent bail to Khadija. The state then filed two petitions in the SC challenging the HC’s bail order. Later, the Chamber Judge of the Supreme Court stayed the High Court order and sent the case to the regular Appellate Division Bench for hearing.
