Justice Obaidul Hasan was elevated to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on 3 September 2020.
He gave several judgments including the judgment on Arpita Sompotti Ann and the appointment of judges in the High Court Division.
He also participated in an international conference held in Hong Kong (1991), participated in a training program called “Judicial Administration Programme” held in Singapore in July 2015.
Obaidul Hassan also participated in an international conference on “Transnational Crime/State Crime” in Buenos Aires, Argentina in August 2015 and exchanged views with judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
