Kumar Biswajit and Shironamhin to perform at IGCC Friday

album-640Popular singer Kumar Biswajit and rock band Shironamhin and will perform in a musical event at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Friday. The musical event is organised by IGCC to mark the 44th Victory Day of Bangladesh.

Kumar Biswajit, one of the most popular contemporary singers of Bangladesh, is known for his variety of music genres fused with country, western, samba, reggae and rock music.

Providing a unique dimension to his music, Kumar Biswajit has been entertaining the music lovers of Bangladesh and abroad for more than last 30 years since he made his debut as a music artiste in the Bangladesh Radio and Television in 1979.

Indie band Shironamhin will perform mainly rock songs which they created in the last 18 years. The band introduced plugged guitar and sarod in their music. Concentrating on the songs from their latest album, “Shironamhin,” the band will also perform other popular songs from their previous albums, “Jahajee,” “Ichchhe Ghuri,” “Bondho Janala,” and “Shironamhin Rabindranath.”
