Lebanon’s national news agency said two more rockets were later fired from Lebanon toward enemy positions in the Shebaa fields, prompting Israel to respond with fresh artillery.
The NNA later said that a child and another child were injured by flying glass fragments caused by Israeli attacks on Sunday.
Israel warned Hezbollah against getting involved in the fighting.
Army spokesman Richard Hecht told reporters, “We advise Hezbollah not to get involved. If they come, we are ready.”
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which acts as a buffer between Lebanon and Israel, urged restraint.
“We are in touch with officials from both sides to control the situation and avoid a more serious situation,” it said in a statement on Sunday.
