Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has said he is not looking to retire from international football following Germany’s World Cup group stage exit in Qatar.
The four-time champions crashed out of the World Cup on Thursday, third in the standings, level on four points with Spain but behind on goal difference and will return home early for a second consecutive time.
“If I get called up and do well, I can pull it off (international retirement),” Neuer told reporters after his exit.
“I expect to continue. There is nothing that speaks against it.”
