Greenhouse gas concentrations, global sea level and ocean heat content are set to reach record highs in 2022, according to the annual review of global climate published online Wednesday.
The State of the Climate Report, the 33rd annual assessment compiled by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Centers for Environmental Information, is based on contributions from more than 570 scientists from more than 60 countries.
It provides the most comprehensive updates on Earth’s climate indicators, notable weather events and other data collected by land, water, ice and space-based environmental monitoring stations and instruments.
