He cited Article 35 of the Constitution, which states, “No person shall be convicted of any offense other than the contravention of the law in force at the time of the act charged as an offence, nor be subject to a fine exceeding ” other than that which might have been committed under the law in force at the time of the offence.”
The Law Minister said that as per the new law, there is no scope for quashing the ongoing cases filed under DSA and the trials will continue as per the previous law.
