The Oval Invincibles recovered from a poor start to beat Manchester Originals by 14 runs in the final at Lord’s on Sunday to win the men’s edition of The Hundred for the first time.
After trailing 34-5 in their innings, Invincible made a comeback thanks to brilliant performances from Tom Curran and Jimmy Neesham.
Curran and New Zealand all-rounder Neesham put on an unbeaten 127-run partnership, the most for any wicket in the history of the men’s century.
Curran played the catalyst in his unbeaten 67 off 34 balls hitting five sixes, while Neesham added an unbeaten 57 off 33 balls, helping the unbeaten side reach 161-5 in 100 balls.
