PM Hasina reaffirms optimism to resolve Teesta water sharing issue with India

He said this during a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence, Gana Bhavan, in the capital city.

Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister KM Shakhawat Moon briefed reporters after the meeting.

Describing Bangladesh as “a very good friend” of India, the ambassador said that Bangladesh and India will work together to prevent terrorism in the region.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina categorically said that Bangladesh has never allowed terrorism.

To this end, he mentioned that terrorism has no religion and no boundaries.

“Awami League never promotes terrorism and it never allows Bangladesh soil to be used for this purpose,” he said.
