PM Hasina returns to Bangladesh after attending Modi's swearing-in ceremony

The aircraft took off from New Delhi's VVIP airport Palam Air Force Station at 4.45 pm Indian time.

Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs Jaideep Mazumdar, Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Pranay Verma and Bangladesh High Commissioner to New Delhi Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman saw off the Prime Minister at the airport.

Sheikh Hasina visited New Delhi on Saturday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Cabinet of the Modi government at the invitation of her Indian counterpart.

During his visit to New Delhi, the Prime Minister held a one-to-one meeting with Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening.

During the meeting, Sheikh Hasina congratulated her Indian counterpart on becoming the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term and invited him to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time.
