Due to high demand for electricity during summer, the problem of load shedding increases. Load shedding is also relatively low due to low demand during winter.

But the common consumer never gets uninterrupted power supply. However, the case of VIP customers is different. Apart from the energy crisis, the biggest problems of the power sector are irregularities, corruption and wastage.

In the survey of Power Cell of the Electricity Department, it has been observed that eight percent of the new consumers have to pay extra over and above the charges prescribed by the government to get a new electricity connection. And 19 percent complain about load shedding.

This survey was conducted on 15,245 customers. Nearly 91 percent of the customers who participated in the survey are from the residential sector. Others are from industry, commerce and agricultural irrigation areas.
