According to the Election Commission, 119,689,289 voters, including 67,609,741 men, 58,918,699 women and 849 transgenders, will cast their votes to elect 299 out of 300 Members of Parliament.
The Commission had earlier postponed the elections in Nagaon-2 due to the death of independent candidate Aminul Islam.
A total of 1,970 candidates, including 1,534 from 28 political parties and 436 independent candidates, are contesting the elections.
