Shariful Islam, Deputy Director (Welfare), Salaried Welfare Board, said that nothing can be done in a country where workers are employed and this is the reality. If there is transparency in passport making and medical examination, many things will become easier.

Abul Bashar, project director of Helvetas, said that from passport making to the entire migration process, someone or the other is making a profit. The state should take the lead in ensuring institutional transparency and accountability.

Strong and Informative Migration System Chairman Kazi Abul Kalam said that the process of migration and money transfer abroad begins with intermediaries. And the scam starts from the first step itself. The government can at least allocate legal aid funds to the Saudi Arabian Embassy.

Shariful Hasan, BRAC’s Associate Director as well as Migration and Youth Initiative Program Head, said the journey to safety and justice is a long one. But migrants can definitely be respected. Just as his own state does not respect him, similarly other countries also do not respect him.

Shahreen Munir, Program Officer, International Organization for Migration (IOM), said sending workers abroad is not just a matter of numbers; Their human rights also have to be ensured.

There is a need for multidimensional management in the migration sector. There will have to be monitoring related to the workers in both the countries.
