Advocate Abdul Malek alias Mashiur Malek had filed the case at midnight on March 29 last year.
On April 2, the High Court granted six weeks' anticipatory bail to Prothom Alo editor in the case. Later, on 3 May the same year, Matiur Rahman produced a bail bond in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge court and appealed for bail.
After the hearing, the court granted bail to Prothom Alo editor on 16 August.
